Bahrain and China are interested in a project for reconstruction of the Dnieper-Bug Canal. A business delegation from Bahrain and China visited Delta Lotsman, a division of the Ukrainian Port Authority, on 24 May. The visit to Delta Lotsman too place within the framework of the delegation’s working visit to the Mykolaiv region, the press service of the Ukrainian Port Authority announced.
The foreign business delegation included the board chairman of EAG Development (Bahrain), Ebrahim Al-Fahad, the general manager of EAG Development, Hadi Al-Alawi, and the general manager of the foreign economic department of China State Construction Harbour Construction Co. Ltd., Qing Kai.
Al-Fahad and Qing informed their Ukrainian hosts about their companies’ experience in designing and constructing large-scale hydraulic structures, particularly terminals at Shanghai Seaport etc., and expressed interest in participating in implementation of projects involving reconstruction of the Dnieper-Bug Canal, in terms of performance of construction works and in terms of financing such works.
