Bombardier (Canada), one of the world's largest manufacturers of railway equipment, is considering the possibility of cooperation with machine-building enterprises in the Lviv region. This was discussed on 15 December during a meeting between the Lviv region’s Governor Oleh Siniutka and Canada’s Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk, the press service of the Lviv regional administration announced.

According to Waschuk, the Canadian company is looking for partners among Ukrainian enterprises. The focuses of Bombardier’s attention are the Electron corporation and the Lviv locomotive repair plant.

Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi also said on 21 September that the Canadian company was interested in Ukraine. "I have met with the Bombardier company to discuss its potential entry into Ukraine," said Pyvovarskyi.

Siemens has also spoke about the possibility of open engineering production facilities in Ukraine.

Bombardier specializes in the manufacture of aircraft and railway equipment, including trams. Its headquarters is located in Montreal (Canada) and the head office of its railway equipment division is located in Berlin (Germany).
