The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Pavlo Riabikin as the general director of the Boryspil international airport. Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced this at a news briefing, the CFTS correspondent reports.

As previously reported, the Nomination Committee decided to recommend Riabikin’s candidacy for the post of general director of the Boryspil international airport to the Cabinet of Ministers on 1 December 2016, but the process of his appointment was delayed.

Riabikin said in a recent interview with the CFTS portal that the Boryspil international airport’s acting General Director Yevhen Dykhne would remain at the airport.

Riabikin has 29 years of professional experience. He has worked at the Express Avia airline, LLC RK Partners, and LLC ROTs Green Port. In addition, he was a member of Ukraine’s third parliament and served as Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications from 2005 to 2006. He joined the Kyiv municipal administration, where he oversees infrastructure and transport construction issues, in 2014.
