The Novotekh Terminal company has begun construction of a new grain terminal with a design capacity of about 3 million tons per year in the Odesa seaport. This was announced at the Pivdennyi bank, which is a financial partner for the project.

The terminal will include a port elevator with capacity for simultaneous storage of 110,000 tons. The construction project will be implemented in four phases and completed in 2019. The new terminal will be located at the port’s berths Nos. 25 and 26, which are capable of accommodating vessels with lengths of up to 250 meters and a draft of up to 11 meters.

According to information from the Odesa Port Authority, the Novotekh Terminal stevedoring company was established in October 2004. Novotekh Terminal operates the berths Nos. 22, 25 and 26 at the port. The company handles export, import, and transit cargoes. The cargoes handled by the company are mostly rolled metal, pig iron in bulk, metal bars, fruits, vegetables, citrus, grains, and iron ore.
