The Kyiv subway will be accessible to people with disabilities by the end of 2020.

Firstly, the subway stations that are large transport hubs will be repaired. In addition to the Livoberezhna subway station, which has already been repaired, the Sviatoshyn, Nivki, Darnytsia (the old exit), and Chernihiv stations will be repaired, the Kyiv subway’s head Viktor Brahinskyi said in an interview with the CFTS.

The Sviatoshyn subway station will be adapted for people with disabilities.

During repair of the Svyatoshin subway station, the underground passages adjacent to the station will be given a facelift and the surrounding streets (Svlatoshynska, Zhmerynska, and Deputatska streets, as well as Heroiv Bresta Square) will be renovated. Traders in the passages will be asked to move to a nearby market.
