Kyiv intends to purchase 10 new trams next year. Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this during a working meeting with Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian at the Shevchenko tram depot, the CFTS correspondent reports.

"We are currently drafting the requirements for a tender. Now, I can say that they must be modern, comfortable trams. Kyiv should have European transport," said Klitschko.

As reported, Kyiv has purchased 10 trams from the Polish company Pesa this year. The city currently has a fleet of 407 trams.
