The capital of Ukraine should receive a second high-speed tram manufactured by the Pesa company (Poland) in November 2016.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing a report in the Transport Publiczny publication (Poland).

"Until now, there was no certainty that the city authorities would confirm the order under the contract. I must admit that we have been waiting for this moment. We are ready to produce the next tram for Kyiv. We are also confident that this will open up another important phase of Pesa’s presence on the Ukrainian market," Pesa’s marketing director for eastern markets Dariusz Skotnizki was quoted as saying in the Polish publication on 1 September.

As reported, it was reported in April that Pesa had won a tender to supply 10 Fokstrot low-floor trams to Kyiv. The contract worth EUR 11.5 million will be implemented in 2016.

The first tram manufactured by the Polish company began operating in Kyiv on 15 August this year.
