Passenger traffic through the Lviv airport totaled 1.8 million in 2017, an increase of 46.3% compared with 2016. The relevant information was published by the airport, the CFTS portal reports.

In the period of January-December 2017, 906,000 passengers (an 84% increase) were transported on international flights and 174,000 (a 16% increase) on domestic flights.

The airport handled 11,983 flights during the year, which is 35% more than the 8,877 flights it handled in 2016. As reported, passenger traffic through the Lviv airport reached 1 million for the first time since 1991 last year.

In addition, passenger traffic through the Kharkiv airport reached 806,000 in 2017, which is the highest in 26 years, and 35% more than the airport’s passenger traffic of 599,700 in 2016.
