Qatar Airways has announced the launch of 12 new routes, including Kyiv, The CFTS reports, citing the Reuters news agency.

The exact date of the first flight to Ukraine has not yet been determined, but the Boryspil airport has already appeared in the carrier’s booking system.

Qatar Airways’ Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al-Baker announced the launch of new flights for the period of 2017-2018 at a press conference in Dubai on Monday. According to him, flights to 11 destinations will be launched in 2017 and flights to one destination in 2018. In addition to Kyiv, Qatar Airways will also fly to Prague, Malaga, Cardiff, Mykonos, and other cities.

Qatar Airways began flights in 1994. The carrier’s base hub is the Hamad airport, which is located in the capital of Qatar. The airline carried 26.6 million passengers in 2016.
