The volume of transportation of petroleum products on transit through Ukraine was 356,400 tons in 2016, which is 6.3 times less than the volume in 2015 (2.2 million tons). The OilNews publication reported this, citing the results of research by the A-95 consulting group.

The volume of transportation of diesel fuel on transit through Ukraine reduced by 28% to 58,000 tons in 2016. The largest volume of transit diesel fuel (nearly 26,000 tons) was transported by rail from Belarus to Moldova. About 22,000 tons of diesel fuel from Lithuania was transported on transit in the same direction.

The volume of transportation of gasoline on transit reduced by 6% to 30,700 tons in 2016, including nearly 17,000 tons from Belarus to Moldova.

The volume of transportation of bitumen on transit was 5,600 tons, which is 7% more than the volume in 2015.

The volume of transportation of gasoline on transit was 214,400 tons in 2016, which is eight times less than the volume in 2015 (1.9 million tons). The petroleum product with the largest transit volume in January 2016 was fuel oil (85,000 tons). The main transporter on transit was Belarus, which transported 183,000 tons of this type of fuel on transit through Ukraine. Deliveries of fuel oil to seaports ceased completely in June 2016. A small consignment passed through Ukraine on the land route to Moldova in October.

As previously reported, the volume of transportation of liquefied gas by rail and sea on transit through Ukraine reduced by 23.2% to 2.09 million tons in 2016, compared with 2015.
