The Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) has invited tenders for supply of two motor coaches at the cost of UAH 64.8 million.

According to the tender documentation, the motor coaches will be equipped with a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 3.2 tons. The motor coaches will be able to reach speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, thanks to a 300-horsepower engine.

The motor coaches will be purchased for the Southern Railway’s Poltava power distribution facility. They are to be delivered by the end of 2017.

The manufacturers of motor coaches in Ukraine are PJSC Dniprospetsmash and PJSC Ivano-Frankivsk Locomotive Repair Plant. Both companies have previously supplied motor coaches to Ukrzaliznytsia. PJSC Dniprospetsmash produced an AD-01 motor coach for Ukrzaliznytsia in 2016. PJSC Ivano-Frankivsk Locomotive Repair Plant supplied an AMV No. 015 motor coach to the Lviv Railway in 2009.
