The Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) will upgrade about 70% of the bed linen in trains (about 580,000 sets) before the end of 2017. Ukrzaliznytsia’s acting board chairman Yevhen Kravtsov announced this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, October 25, the company announced.

"We plan to upgrade 70% of bed linen sets on trains by the end of this year. That is almost 580,000 sets. We also plan to sort out the situation regarding the toilets and air conditioning systems in trains at the beginning of 2018," Kravtsov said.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, about 80 thousand sets of bed linen are provided to passengers per day.

As reported eerier, Ukrzaliznytsia will upgrade about 500 sleeping cars or almost 1/6th of the fleet of sleeping cars currently in operation before the end of 2018.
