Wizzair, the major lowcost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has carried 100 million passengers for 11 years of its service, the press office reported on October 20.

The 100 millionth passenger travelled from Luton (London) to Warsaw Chopin airport.

Wizz Air started flights in 2004. Airline operates in 38 countries carrying passengers from 110 airports.

In April Wizz Air closed its subsidiary – Wizz Air Ukraine, together with ceasing flights from Lviv airport and reducing routes from Kiev Zhulyany airport.
