More than 1,036 ship arrival/departure procedures were performed at the Yuzhny seaport during the first half of 2016 in accordance with the procedure for conducting inspections aboard vessels that was introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 491 of 7 July 2015. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Port Authority.

According to the press service, the Sanitary Service performed control procedures directly on board vessels 179 times (17.1% of the total number), the Veterinary Inspectorate 33 times (3.2%), and the Phytosanitary Inspectorate three times (0.3%). The Customs Service and the Environmental Inspectorate did not conduct inspections on board vessels in the first half of this year.

The average time from completion of mooring operations to the start of preparation for cargo operations, namely the raising of a ship surveyor onto a vessel, is about 10 minutes. The average period of control procedures aboard a vessel when processing the departure of the vessel is about 42 minutes.
