The turnover of rail freight has not yet reached the pre-crisis level of 2008, and it totaled 237.3 billion tons/km at the end of last year. This figure is 3% lower than even the figure for 2011. The picture is similar for the volumes of freight transported by rail - 378.1 million tons, which is also 3% lower than the figure for the previous period.

Last year, the total passenger flow at Ukrainian airports was 14.1 million, an increase of 13.2% compared with 2011. In total, 26 airports and airfields handled passenger transportation in Ukraine last year. Compared with 2011, the largest increases in passenger traffic were at the Lviv (94%), Zhuliany (83.5%), and Kharkiv (+62.5%) airports. The margins of increase in passenger traffic at other airports were smaller: 5.5% at the Boryspil airport, 4.2% at the Dnipropetrovsk airport, 20.6% at the Donetsk airport, 10.1% at the Odessa airport, and 15.6% at the Simferopol airport.
