Thirteen ships carrying Ukrainian agricultural products left the ports of Greater Odesa on Sunday, 9 October, under the Black Sea Grain Initiative to establish a humanitarian maritime corridor to allow ships to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

Thirteen ships transporting 230,700 tons of agricultural products to countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe left the ports of Odesa, Pivdennyi, and Chornomorsk.

They include the Argonaut bulk carrier (which is transporting 71,000 tons of wheat to Indonesia), the Ali A bulk carrier (7,000 tons of wheat to Lebanon), and the Mehmet Bey bulk carrier (8,000 tons of soybeans to Egypt).

Since the opening of the "grain corridor," 305 ships transporting 6.8 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products to countries in Asia, Europe, and Africa have left Ukrainian seaports.
