The bulk carrier I Maria with 33,000 tons of corn on board left for Africa from the port of Chornomorsk as part of the "grain corridor".

This was written in today’s Ukrainian Sea Port Administration’s (USPA) statement.

A cargo of agricultural products is on its way to its destination in northern Africa. The ship will arrive to Egypt in a few days.

"Currently, we have more than 600,000 tons of agricultural products transshipped and sent through the "grain corridor". Yesterday, the largest caravan of 5 ships was accepted for processing. We can see that the market is responding positively to the stable and efficient work of Ukrainian port operators. Odesa’s indicators are increasing, as well as the dynamics of receiving such applications," said Oleksiy Vostrikov, head of USPA.

Since the signing of the Istanbul Initiative between Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and the United Nations, 25 vessels with Ukrainian food safely left the ports of Odesa, Pivdennyi and Chornomorsk in the direction of the Bosphorus.
