The government has allocated 200 million hryvnia for reconstruction of the runway at the international airport in Dnipro, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The Cabinet of Ministers made the relevant decision at a recent meeting.

"The Ministry of Infrastructure backed a proposal by the prime minister of Ukraine and submitted a decision to allocate UAH 200 million for reconstruction of the runway at the Dnipro airport to the government for approval. I am hoping that the Dnipro airport will be able to receive the first flights operated by Ryanair and other European and Ukrainian airlines, including SkyUp, next year," said Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the authorities in Dnipro are lobbying for funds for financing the reconstruction of the city’s airport. The Dnipro city council has appealed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi to allocate money for reconstruction of the city’s airport.
