The Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe plans to solve the problem of staff shortages by improving efficiency.
Luca Zanotti, the CEO of Interpipe, stated this in an interview with the publication Forbes Ukraine.
According to Zanotti, automation will play a major role even after the war ends. Therefore, the company must invest wisely in automation, the CFTS portal reports.
“However, it is even more important to learn how to attract, retain, and motivate the people who are available because people with experience are the most productive," Zanotti said.
According to him, such measures are very difficult to implement during wartime, especially in Nikopol.
"Therefore, the right approach is needed: management must be present alongside the people at the plant, lead by example, discuss problems, and find solutions,” said the Interpipe CEO.
He also emphasized the importance of employing military veterans experienced in logistics, mechanics, and electronics, as they are highly trained. "The reintegration of veterans into enterprises will play a decisive role," he said.
