There are currently no plans to export goods other than agricultural products through the maritime "grain corridor."

Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Vaskov stated this in an interview with the CFTS portal.

"The issue of export of metals or other types of cargoes within the framework of the ‘grain initiative’ is currently not being discussed. The author of the ‘grain initiative’ was the UN, and the export of agricultural products was discussed within the framework of food security," the deputy minister said.

"We are certainly interested in resuming full operation of our ports, and we will initiate this at the first opportunity," he added.

Andrii Zablovskyi, the head of the secretariat of the Council of Entrepreneurs, which operates under the auspices of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, recently said that the precedent that was set by the unblocking of Ukrainian ports to allow grain exports was also a good reason to continue working on the export of metal products from Ukrainian ports.

Ukraine’s Deputy Economy Minister Taras Kachka has expressed the hope that the "grain initiative" can become a model for other products.
