The Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdennyi seaports have started preparations for the loading and shipment of grain and related cargoes, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

"In the ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdennyi, preparatory work is being performed to ensure the loading and shipment of grain," the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure said in a statement.

As the CFTS portal reported, navigational and hydrographic work to ensure the safety of shipping has resumed at one of the seaports in the Odesa region from which "grain corridors" will be established. "Today, we are performing joint navigational and hydrographic work to ensure the safety of shipping in one of the Odesa ports. These are primarily the works that will determine the safe routes for the movement of the ships that will transport Ukrainian grain," said Ihor Tymchuk, the head of a branch of the "Odesa District State Hydrography" state institution.

Military and civilian specialists are carefully searching for underwater objects and installing special navigational equipment that will help ensure the safety of navigation. Hydrographic survey works – determination of depth, approach channels, and recommended routes – are also ongoing.
