According to the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Revenue and Duties’ main office in the Sumy region, the Sumy Customs’ head Dmytro Afanasiadi met with his Russian counterparts at the Bachevsk-Troebortnoye automobile crossing on November 11 to resolve the problematic issues of customs inspection of trucks.

"The Russian side began working without delays and according to plan as a result of the talks. Currently, the situation has been resolved completely. By the end of the day, there will be no queue of trucks at the border,” said Natalia Shapoval, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties’ main office in the Sumy region.

As reported, Russia is currently making a transition to customs processing of trucks importing goods into the country without the use of TIR Carnets. The new procedures will extend to all parts of the country on December 1.
