Ukraine intends to raise EUR 12 billion for construction of highways in 2014 with the help of public-private partnerships. As reported by RBC Ukraine, the general director of the State Automobile Road Service (Ukravtodor), Yevhen Prusenko, announced this during the Ukrainian forum on transport infrastructure. The strategic media partner for the forum is the Center for Transport Strategies.

"Overall, this huge amount - about EUR 12 billion - will help to improve the main roads. It involves construction of roads of the first category from the border of Krakovets-Lvov-Brody-Rovno, construction of a major ring road around Kiev, the Kiev-Obukhov and Kiev-Chernigov roads, as well as the roads Novomoskovsk-Zaporozhye-Melitopol-Dzhankoi-Simferopol, Ulyanovka-Nikolaev-Kherson-Krasnoperekopsk, and others," said Prusenko.
As reported earlier, Ukravtodor plans to repair 7,700 kilometers of public roads at the cost of about UAH 5 billion in 2014.
