A memorandum of cooperation between the Ukrainian Port Authority and the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (the Bulgarian counterpart of the Ukrainian Port Authority) was signed during a working visit to Bulgaria by experts from the Ukrainian Port Authority, the press service of the Ukrainian Port Authority announced.

The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and develop business relationships. In particular, the memorandum provides for pilot projects involving information sharing between the two companies on procedures for approach/departure of vessels, tariff and statistical analysis, tariff policy regarding the use of infrastructure, and port legislation.

The two sides also agreed to hold joint seminars and conferences, as well as to organize internships for port specialists in the following areas: port management, maritime safety, operation of vessel propulsion systems, logistics, and environmental protection.

In addition, the two sides will launch a project for information interaction between Ukraine’s Port Community Information System and "Maritime Single Window of Bulgaria" during registration of arrival/departure of ferries.
