According to the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, Ukrainian seaports handled 134,191 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) from January to August 2025. This figure represents a 3.3% increase over the total figure for 2024, and it is the highest since the war began, the CFTS portal reports.

“Despite the war, shelling, and the numerous challenges facing global logistics, Ukrainian seaports continue to demonstrate resilience and steady growth,” the association said in a statement.

The cargo transportation breakdown is as follows:

Export: 66,892 TEU

Import: 63,042 TEU

Transit: 4,257 TEU.

“These results send a strong signal to businesses that Ukrainian ports remain reliable, even under crisis conditions, and are fully capable of handling export and import cargo,” the association said.
