The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on harmonization of the Ukrainian motor transport industry with the European Union’s legislation at a meeting late on Wednesday, 9 December. Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi announced this on his Facebook page.

"Another plus in our box of achievements for the year and another step toward Europe in the area of motor transport: the Cabinet of Ministers has just approved a draft law on bringing our legislation into line with European standards for submission to the parliament. The ministry’s team worked on this document in conjunction with the Motor Transport Research Institute for almost one year," the minister wrote.

He added that "the signature of the prime minister and 226 votes in the parliament" remained.
