The Sprint Air airline has transported about 800 people since launching flights from Radom (Poland) to Lviv at the end of August.

The Polish airline’s Director Jan Szczepkowski announced this in an interview with the CFTS portal.

According to him, the average flight occupancy rate was 70% during this period. The flights are operated on a Saab 340 turboprop aircraft, which seats 33 passengers.

"This is a very good result for a new route, and it just shows us that the Lviv-Radom route has great potential," Szczepkowski said.

The total umber of passengers transported on Sprint Air’s flights in the first eight months of this year is about 20,000, which is better than the figure for 2015 (15 000 passengers).

The airline considers this increase in the number of passengers a success.

As reported, Sprint Air operated its first flight from Radom to Lviv on 23 June. SprintAir is the only carrier based at the Radom airport. The airline operates flights to Prague, Berlin, Wroclaw, and Gdansk.

In addition, the idea of launching flights between Lviv and Zielona Góra arose after a recent visit to Lviv by the head of the Lubuskie province of Poland, Elżbieta Polak. The Sprint Air airline is considered the most likely carrier on the Lviv-Zielona Góra route.
