The new tramway line was launched on Thursday in Lviv. The route connects the city's center with Sykhiv, residential area with a population of 150,000.
The line will be served by 13 trams. Seven LRVs were produced by Electron, Lviv-based manufacturer. The work schedule of the line starts at 6:11 and accomplishes at 00:05. The travel time between the end points is 25-50 minutes, the time interval is 5-6 minutes.
The construction of the line was financed by EBRD (12 million euros), German Ministry for the Environment (5 million euros) as well as by the city budget (8,85 million euros).
