The Ukrainian Road Fund is expected to be created with revenue from excise duties on petroleum products imported into Ukraine. Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk is hoping that the parliament will adopt the relevant draft law.

"I hope that the parliament will adopt our draft law on creation of the road fund as soon as possible. According to this draft law, revenue from the excise duty on imported petroleum products should be earmarked to go directly into the road fund, and it should be shared 60% to 40%: 60% to national roads and 40% to local roads," Yatseniuk wrote on his Facebook page.

As reported, Yatseniuk and Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi inspected the progress of the repair work on the Lvov - Ivano-Frankivsk - Mukachevo road in the Lvov region on 23 August.
