Port operators in Ukrainian seaports handled 46.2 million tons of cargo in January-October 2023.

The Ukrainian Seaports Authority (USPA) announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

According to the statement, this is 5.4 million tons more than the volume that the operators handled in the same period in 2022.

The volume of transshipment of export cargo increased by 22.8% to 41.7 million tons in January-October 2023, compared with 2022.

The port operators handled 34.9 million tons of grain cargo, which is almost 70% more than the volume they handled in the same period last year.

For comparison, operators in Ukrainian seaports handled 120.9 million tons of cargo in the first 10 months of 2021. This was 11.2 million less than the volume they handled in the same period of the pandemic year 2020. They handled 93.1 million tons of export cargo in January-October 2021.
