Ukrainian railroad workers managed to take 12 locomotives, 9 electric locomotives, and one rail bus out of the Crimea before its occupation by Russian troops, the company's press service announced in response to a request from the LB.ua publication.

The equipment that was taken out is now in operation on the Prydniprovska railway.

In addition, three universal freight platforms that are in use at the Novoalekseevka station were also taken out of the peninsula.

According to PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, 885 railcars were in the Crimea as of 31 March 2014. Now, 637 railcars remained there, of which 515 are out of operation.
