Railway workers have restored train traffic on a bridge to Mariupol on the Kamysh-Zarya - Rozovka railway stretch in the Zaporozhe region, where a freight train derailed on January 20 after the bridge was blown up. The press service of the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) announced this in a statement.

The down track, which will handle traffic in both directions, and part of the bridge, where the odd track passes, were restored at 11:07 on January 23. The repair of the second section of the bridge will take at least five days. The first train will travel on the bridge at about 15:00.

Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia’s acting general director Maksym Blank said that four terrorist attacks took place on the railway this week, from Monday to Thursday.

As a result, a 500-meter dual-track section with a length of about was damaged in the Zaporozhe region and a 15-meter dual-track bridge was partially damaged.

Of the 55 railcars carrying ore, 25 survived and they were sent to the station Kamysh-Zarya station. The remaining 30 railcars cannot be repaired. According to Blank, the railcars belonged to Ukrzaliznytsia.
