Ukraine will provide humanitarian aid to countries in Africa and Asia.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the relevant decree on 15 November, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Liga publication.

This initiative is aimed at helping to overcome hunger in African and Asian countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with compiling a list of countries that are most in need of such aid.

The president of Ukraine addressed the G20 summit earlier on 15 November, during which he announced the launch of the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative, within the framework of which the Nord Vind vessel will deliver 27,000 tons of wheat to Ethiopia. "This is an amount of food for almost 100,000 people per year. There could be many such ships from Ukraine, meaning that many people in poor countries will be saved from hunger," Zelenskyi said.

He added that Ukraine can export 45 million tons of food this year.

"And let a significant part be sent to those suffering the most. What exactly are we proposing? Every country can join with a specific contribution and become a co-creator of victory over hunger and the food crisis," he said.
