Oleksandr Krivokon has been appointed as the acting President of the Antonov state aircraft design and manufacturing enterprise. The relevant order was signed on August 15 at the Ukroboronprom state defense concern, which is the parent company of Antonov.

Krivokon was previously the director of the Kharkiv state aircraft manufacturing enterprise, which is also part of Ukroboronprom.

In addition, he held managerial positions at the state-owned Yuzhny engineering plant, the state-owned Malyshev plant, the Mining Machines Corporation (now known as the Corum group), etc.

As reported earlier, the Antonov state aircraft design and manufacturing enterprise’s President Oleksandr Kotsiuba has decided to leave his post and return to private business. He became the head of Antonov on June 8, 2016.

Ukroboronprom recently published a forecast, according to which Antonov will produce at least 70 aircraft in the next five years.
