Ukrainian airline SkyUp and Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air have resumed cooperation and signed a one-year ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) or wet-lease agreement under which the Ukrainian carrier will transfer three aircraft to the Hungarian airline.

SkyUp announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

Two out of the three aircraft will be based in Bucharest and one in Warsaw (Chopin Airport).

As previously reported, because of its inability to operate flights in Ukrainian airspace, SkyUp operates its aircraft abroad, leasing them to other airlines under ACMI agreements. In 2023 the company was among the 20 largest ACMI service providers in the European skies. The list of airlines with which SkyUp already cooperates includes Tunisair, FlyOne, HiSky SRL, HiSky Europe SRL, Wizz Air Malta, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Corendon Dutch, Tailwind Airlines and FlyEgypt.
