He participated in the drafting of the Law on Seaports of Ukraine. He was the director of the legal department of the State Property Fund from 1996 to 2005. He has been a managing partner at the Podgayny, Barabash & Sharapa law firm (now known as the AGRECA law firm) since 2005. He graduated from the Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University.
