The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) will launch its first international children's railway carriage on 27 February, the CFTS portal reports.
"Tickets for the children's carriage on train No. 351 Kyiv-Chișinău are already on sale," Ukrzaliznytsia said in a statement.
The carriage is fully certified for international travel and, in keeping with tradition, it features ramps for strollers, themed compartments with Superpower Sparks, playpens for the youngest passengers, changing tables, hypoallergenic children's bedding, children's menu, baby food warmers, protected edges on upper berths, busy boards, safe corridor handrails with soft padding, interactive educational and entertainment materials, board games and audio bedtime stories.
The project was implemented jointly with UNICEF and funded by the Belgian government.
"Tickets will be sold exclusively through the Ukrzaliznytsia app, and they will be marked ‘Children’s," the company said.
As previously reported, Ukrzaliznytsia added a children's carriage to train No. 26/25 Odesa-Yasynia in December 2024.
