The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has launched operation of the Shahdag ferry on the Trans-Caspian international transport route, the BSNews publication reports, citing Trend.
According to the shipping company, the ferry resumed operation after a major overhaul.
"The main and auxiliary engines, various systems, wheel, and other mechanisms, as well as office and residential premises, were upgraded during the overhaul, which started at the end of last month," the report said.
The ferry will be operated on the Baku-Aktau-Baku and Baku-Turkmenbashi-Baku routes.
