Ukrzaliznytsia’s Fleet Of Passenger Cars Down By 1,000 In 5 Years

The number will decrease by an additional 300 in the coming years.

The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) removed 1,087 passenger cars from service between 2019 and 2024.

This was stated in a presentation by Ukrzaliznytsia, the CFTS portal reports, citing the publication Liga Business.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, during this period, 28 cars were destroyed, 265 remained in Russian-occupied territory, and 794 reached the end of their service life.

Between 2025 and 2029, the company will have to decommission an additional 300 cars as they reach the end of their service life.
