The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Vasyl Shkurakov as the Acting Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure.

Member of Parliament Oleksii Honcharenko announced this in a statement, as reported by the CFTS portal.

The Cabinet of Ministers also appointed Taras Vysotskyi as the Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.

Mr. Shkurakov graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Economics and Finance in 2005 with a master's degree. From 2005 to 2017, he worked at the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, eventually rising to the position of department head. Since 2018, he has served as a deputy minister in the ministry.

Between 2017 and 2018, he was the Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance at the state energy company Ukrhydroenergo. In 2020, he was appointed CEO of the affordable housing finance company Ukrfinzhytlo. Since August 2021, he has been the First Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure.

As reported earlier, the parliament relieved Oleksandr Kubrakov of his posts as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure on May 9, 2024. The relevant resolution was adopted with 272 votes.
