The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has relieved Maksym Martyniuk of the post of acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food and appointed Olha Trofymtseva to replace him, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Latifundist website.

“Martyniuk has been relieved of the post of acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food at his own request. Trofymtseva has been appointed as the acting minister,” Deputy Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko said after a government meeting on Wednesday.

Trofymtseva graduated from the Putivl Agricultural College and the National Agrarian University of Ukraine, where she specialized in management of foreign economic operations. She received a doctorate degree in agricultural sciences from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2012.

Trofymtseva was appointed as a project manager for Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in 2016.

She was appointed as Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food responsible for European integration on September 8, 2016.
