The Czech Airlines has introduced a baggage-free package on all its medium-range flights, including flights on the Kyiv-Prague and Odesa-Prague routes, avianews.com reports.

According to the Kyiv office of the Czech Airlines, the baggage-free package was introduced in December 2016.

The new LITE package is about EUR 20 cheaper on one-way flights and EUR 40 cheaper on roundtrip flights compared with the PLUS package, which allows passengers to carry one hand luggage weighing up to 23 kilograms at no extra charge.

The LITE package allows passengers to carry only one hand luggage weighing up to 8 kilograms.

In addition, passengers that choose the LITE package cannot undergo online check-in and choose their seats 36 hours before departure. They will be able to receive boarding passes only get at the airport.

If a traveler does decide to fly with a baggage, a single baggage weighing up to 23 kilograms will cost EUR 25 and payment must be made no later than 36 hours before departure. After this deadline, the charge will increase to EUR 35 per baggage. EUR 45 will be charged for hand luggage exceeding the permitted dimensions.

The Czech Airlines stopped providing free meals to economy-class passengers on medium-haul flights, including flights to Ukraine, in 2015.
