The European Business Association (EBA) will hold its “2023 Infrastructure Day” event in Kyiv on 17 November.

The Center for Transport Strategies (CFTS) is an information partner for the event.

According to the organizers of the event, the full-scale Russian invasion was a test of Ukraine's transport infrastructure and export capabilities. The event will be held to discuss ways of adapting logistics to the war, the current challenges, reconstruction, and investments in transport and infrastructure.

Industry leaders and representatives of the relevant state institutions and businesses are invited to take part in the Infrastructure Day.

The results of the EBA Logistics Committee’s industry research entitled "Infrastructure Index 2023" will be presented and three panel discussions will take place during the event.

Panel I: The transport industry in 2023:

The results of the industry research "Infrastructure Index 2023";

Key challenges in the transport industry in 2023;

Transport strategy until 2030.

Panel II: Exports during the war. How the government and businesses are creating new export routes and building infrastructure:

Prospects for restoring commercial maritime transport and opening Ukrainian ports to all types of cargo;

Ukraine’s Maritime Strategy: Current Status and Prospects. What needs to be done?

Rail freight transport in 2023: challenges for businesses and Ukrzaliznytsia;

What is needed to stabilize the transport and logistics market? The views of businesses.

Panel III: Investments and restoration of transport infrastructure in 2024:

Prospects of state support for the reconstruction of damaged/destroyed sea and river terminals and grain storage facilities;

International assistance for reconstructing Ukraine and attracting investments into infrastructure;

Innovations in the sphere of state support for large investments;

Implementation of international standards in road construction.
