The PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) international audit company will audit the Kyiv-based Antonov state aircraft manufacturing enterprise’s financial statements for 2014, the press service of Antonov reports.

PwC Ukraine was selected via a competition. A contract for audit and analysis of the enterprise’s management system has been signed with the company.

"An independent study of the state and assessment of the efficiency of the Antonov state enterprise’s use of material, labor, financial, and other resources by a ‘Big Four’ audit firm is necessary because of the claims by the dismissed head of the State Financial Inspectorate, Mykola Hordienko, that financial abuses committed by the Antonov state enterprise had been uncovered," the press service said in a statement.

The Antonov state enterprise became part of the Ukroboronprom state defense concern in April. According to information from Antonov, its net profit reduced by 0.63% to UAH 39.3 million and its net revenue increased by 2.42% to UAH 3.348 billion in 2014 (based on Ukrainian accounting standards).
