The Wizz Air airline company currently employs over 8,000 people of 106 nationalities, flight attendants of over 80 nationalities, and flight crew and office staff of over 60 nationalities. Among them are also citizens of Ukraine.
The press service of the Hungarian low-cost airline company announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
Asked for clarification, Wizz Air told the CFTS that the airline currently employs more than 350 Ukrainians in various positions.
As previously reported, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, the airline repeatedly offered Ukrainians employment at its bases in Poland, as well as in London (Luton, Gatwick), Cardiff, Budapest, Debrecen, and Kutaisi.
The airline also recruited pilots in Ukraine before the outbreak of the full-scale war.
