The draft state budget for 2021 provides for spending UAH 150 billion on development of road infrastructure under the Big Construction program.

This amount represents an increase of UAH 20.7 billion, compared with the amount allocated in the state budget for 2020, Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko said, the CFTS portal reports.

"Road infrastructure: an increase of UAH 20.7 billion is envisaged, compared with this year. In addition to expenditures directly from the state budget, we envisage provision of a significant number of state guarantees specifically in this area," Marchenko said while presenting the draft state budget at a press conference in Kyiv.

Marchenko added that total spending on the road sector was expected to reach UAH 150 billion in the state budget for 2021.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2021 on Monday.
