The Latvian national airline, airBaltic, will launch flights on the Riga-Odesa route on March 26, 2017. 

As a result, residents of the Baltic States will have a new summer holiday destination while Ukrainian passengers will be have the opportunity to travel conveniently to Riga and other destinations in Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Baltic States, and the CIS, the airline said.

airBaltic will operate four Riga-Odesa flights per week. It will operate a Boeing 737 and a Bombardier Q400NextGen on the route. The flight duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.

airBaltic operates direct flights from Riga to 60 destinations, as well as a number of new direct flights from Tallinn and Vilnius. The airline currently operates flights to Kyiv.
