The Allseeds company launched the first phase of an oil extraction plant - which consists of a terminal for transshipment, storage, and transportation of sunflower - on the shore of the Small Adzhalyk Estuary at the Yuzhny port on July 11, the press service of the Odessa regional administration has announced.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Odessa region’s Governor Eduard Matviichuk.
The current production capacity of the terminal is 42,000 tons of sunflower per month. It currently employs 40 people.
The opening of the second phase of the terminal is scheduled for November 2014, when a fully-fledged oil extraction plant will be put into operation. Earlier, representatives of the company said that about UAH 125 million was invested in the construction of the sunflower transshipment terminal and that its second phase will cost the company UAH 480 million.
The company’s plans also include production of foodstuffs and agricultural goods.
As reported, the Transinvestservice stevedoring company (TIS, Yuzhny) recently said it would work in partnership with the Allseeds and Risoil companies, which opened their own oil transshipment terminals in the summer of 2013.
