Azerbaijan low-cost airline Buta Airways will begin operating direct flights from Baku to Lviv on December 23, 2019, the CFTS portal reports, citing information from the airline.
Buta Airways already operates flights to Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa. The latest destination will thus bring the number of the airline’s destinations in Ukraine to four.
Flights to Lviv will be operated on Mondays and Thursdays.
As with the airline’s other destinations, the cost of one-way tickets will start at EUR 29 euros.
Tickets are already available on the official website of the airline, as well as at its ticket offices.
As reported earlier, Buta Airways, which is a structural unit of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), is the first low-cost airline in Azerbaijan. It was founded in December 2016. It performed its first flight on September 1, 2017. The airline has a fleet of modern Embraer aircraft. The airline is based at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.
It was recently reported that the SkyUp airline plans to broaden the geography of its flights from Lviv. SkyUp launched flights on the Lviv – Tel Aviv route on November 24, 2019, and the carrier will begin operating flights from Lviv to Heraklion, Batumi, Burgas, and Barcelona in summer 2020.
