Volodymyr Shulmeister has been appointed as Ukraine’s First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports, citing an informed source within the government.

Shulmeister previously headed the Foxtrot group of companies, among others.

As the CFTS portal previously reported, Shulmeister is considered friendly with Agro-Industrial Complex Minister Oleksii Pavlenko from his time at Foxtrot. In addition, it is known that the Ministry of Infrastructure also plans to return to the practice of functional deputies.

As reported, Andrii Pyvovarskyi, who previously headed the Continuum group of companies, has been appointed as the new minister of infrastructure, replacing Maksym Burbak, who left for the parliament in early December.

Volodymyr Omelian, a former chief of staff of the Minister of the Cabinet Ministers, and Oleksandr Kava, a former transport adviser to the head of the Kyiv city administration, have been appointed as deputy ministers of infrastructure.
